What PRT?

What PRT? was created by Fisher

HI All

Currently changing some of my TF 1.8 Manual (2004) coolant pipes around the PRT area.

There seems to be different versions of the PRT available (temperature range and colours).
Rimmer indicates two, but does not indicate the difference between them.

Cannot identify my current PRT as it is covered in underseal!

What is the recommendationed for my car?. Some forums indicate Grey one is the best. (dont know if Rimmers sell a grey one!) Possibly part number.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I bought mine from AK Motorsport mg-rover.com - a PEM101020. I haven't had any problems since installing it in my 2004 TF135 18 months ago. Good price too.

Hi All - Little insight into this but I did find the following :
https://forums.mg-rover.org/threads/prt-on-an-mgf.470338/ posted 2011(so ignore the prices) original response by siwr:

PEL500990 - Cream - 88° - Hard Spring - £21
PEM101020 - Black - 82° - Hard Spring - £39
PEL500110 - Grey - 82° - Light Spring - £30

Concensus appears to be, fit the Grey PRT (which was originally fitted to the Lotus Elize).

Has anyone fitted the Grey PRT. The Black PRT is standard MGR I believe.
