The inner one is too large and Rimmers don't list the outer one seperatly.

Not a bad idea but the work involved in getting to the snap ring is considerable as you have to remove the hub from the car and then dismantle it.Fisher wrote: Probably thought of it but what about a breakers?
It is recomended to replace the snap ring with a new one when dismantaling the hub which is the only reason I was going to replace it anyway.

When I had my first maestro I had an issue with the drive shaft staying in the hub assembly when on full steering lock. As the rear hub on the F doesn't steer I think the risk is of the shaft coming out of the hub is virtually nil so I am going to leave it out. If you don't hear any more assume the shaft stayed together.
