New owner of TF
Where are the starter and generator located on a TF, please? And, how does one access them to do a voltage check? Thank you, much.

Hi and welcome to the post.
The starter and the alternator (generator) are both accessible through the engine cover which is under the carpet on the rear shelf. The best way to access this is to unhook the 5 catches at the back of the hood, lift out the carpet and insulation, undo the 10 x 10mm bolts (3 under the sound bar if fitted) and lift out.
The starter is the back of the engine close above the gearbox and the alternator is at the front of the engine nearest the right hand rear wheel.
It is possible to just about reach the starter through the grill in the boot and the alternator might be reached from underneath.
on later cars there is a fuse on the back of the firewall behind the engine which is inline between the alternator and the battery, again accessible through the grill..
