Hello,
l’m new to MG TF ownership, having only owned my TF since April. Although the garage said they had serviced the vehicle, I have little faith in them and precious little service history.
The oil pressure  gauge hardly moves, so I suppose an oil and filter change is probably top of the list.
The car has done almost 50,000 miles and I’m looking to do it good service.
What are the main things I should be looking to change and replace?
Thanks for your input and help.
Bob

That oil gauge in the center of the dash is an oil temp gauge not a pressure gauge..........and it's as 'bout 's handy as tits on a bull!
They never move much

Thanks Cobber,
Just shows how little I know about cars and how much help and advice I’m going to need from this forum to keep my TF on the road

The oil service interval is 1 year.  Major service, including cambelt etc is 5 years, I think.  To help you know what needs doing and when, I suggest you download the service checklists from this site:
 Community/Downloads/Maintenance Check Sheets.

Definitely do an oil service and, if you have any doubts, do the cambelt service too.  The oil service is easy enough for DIY with some basic tools.  Follow the excellent guide in the howto section.
