OBD2 Scanner/Reader
Good evening,
I have a 2005 MGTF 1.8L 135BHP car which has developed a slight misfire. The misfire has got worse and my engine management light is now on.
I have borrowed an Autel MaxiDiag PRO MD801 but when I try to connect to the car I am getting a "Linking Error! message. Can someone suggest an "OBD2 Scanner/Reader which will link to my car so that I can try and diagnose the problem?
Thanks for your help.
Regards David

Hi . Most folk on here use the excellent Pscan which has been developed with these cars ( and others ) in mind .
You can contact Philip who builds them on here if you scroll to the Pscan in the forum .
I would be looking at the coil packs and their respective leads as I have seen corrosion build between the lead to the pack on several TF'S with this type of fault .
Hope this helps .
John .
