My TF has a sound system that has a CD player (whatever they are). I am thinking of ditching this for a System with DAB radio, Bluetooth, USB and maybe even Sat Nav. Maybe one of those with the screen that come out and up when switched on. It will have to be a cheap one (I'm a pensioner) from fleabay.

Has anyone fitted one of these and did it work ok or get in the way of dials when on?

Reluctantly I ditched my original 1998 MG radio (and CD changer) for what you are looking for. I did not want to mess up the cockpit with a standalone DAB receiver, standalone sat nav et al.

I went for a Pioneer AVH single din with flip-up screen - not cheap but has CD, FM and DAB/DAB+ radio, Bluetooth and handsfree phone, USB and Sat Nav (this is an add-on module - the receiver is hidden under the instrument cowling but reception still excellent). I also fitted a German made converter so I can use the original MGF aerial for both FM and DAB.

The package avoids cockpit clutter and is as integral as you can get it.

Very pleased with it.
