Missfire on cylinder 2
How does Pscan determine which cylinder is missfireing? There are only two coil packs feeding two cylinders each.

I've no idea if I'm right as am trying hard to take all this in, as I understand it the pack fires both plugs together and one is a wasted spark as that cylinder is on the exhaust stroke not compression but there is a cam sensor so the ECU knows which cylinder is on the compression stroke.
If I'm proved to be right the teas going down the sink and its out with the wine.

Thank you. I had forgotten about the cam sensor and it was doing my head in!

I've been thinking about this, surely if you only get the misfire on one cylinder you can discount the coil pack as the misfire would be on both cylinders served by that pack. What I would look at first is the sparkplug and lead to No2, I have read that the connection between the plug and lead can corrode (inside plug cap) so maybe it's that.
