Hello, folks
I have a soft top, and i want to remove the screen from it to replace a split one in another hood.
I have removed the rivets, etc, but i cant work out how to separate it from the zip.
Can anyone help please ?
Thanks in advance

It's just like a jacket zip undo fully and take the pin out of the box, you may find the pin and box are corroded together, I did.
I then put the end of the zip into a small plastic bag sprayed WD40 into the bag sealed it with an elastic band and left it to soak, I did it this way as I thought WD40 might stain the hood.
Once it it had time to soak I used 2 thin nosed pliers to work the pin and box and get the pin free, you may have to partly close the zip to get the process started but DONT attempt to pull the pin out with the zip closed or it's buggered, I've just looked at a spare window I have and the window has the pin on it with the slider/retaining box staying attached to the hood. It can be frustrating and time consuming but the alternative is a new zip and someone to sew it in.
