MGTF Suspension
Hi there,
this query relates to MGTF coil over units and in particular the bottom bushes.
I removed both my rear ones for a refurb and to locate a creak in the rear o/s.
The units are very easy to strip down ( don't need coil compressors) in case anyone is interested.
What I found is that the bottom bushes behave differently. That is one is easy to move by finger pressure and the other completely stiff.
Does anyone know what a good /new bottom suspension bush should feel like when it is fitted to the damper ?
thanks
Mike

On the TF, is the bottom bush on the suspension units even replaceable? I was told that they aren't and had to buy new suspension units complete. The bushes had gone soft enough that, with a pry bar, the bottom bush moved on the bolt.

Out of interest, for when I need to do the fronts, where did you get the bushes? Do you have a link, please?

thanks for your reply
it transpires that the bottom bushes on TF dampers are like knuckle joints, they should move freely in all directions and stay in position like a track rod end does.
