What are these clips called?
They have gouged chunks out of my hands and arms today the biatches, but some are fairly rusty so I think it would be worth getting a supply of spares in.
What are they please?

Scrap. I tried reusing them when I replaced my water pipes but 2 of them didn't seal properly. Ditched them & fitted stainless jubilee clips instead, 35mm-45mm iirc.
For the record, think they are just spring hose clips

+1 on using jubilee clips. Look out for them at Aldi, they do a box with assorted sizes for about £3.50.

I know them as spring hose clips. I use Mole grips to release the clamp action, though there is a special tool available to unclamp them but ....... as has been suggested, replace with a good quality worm drive (Jubilee) clip. On this subject, I use a socket on the hex screw head, having suffered injury via slipping screwdrivers. Also does 'em up nice and tight.
It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

I've been using my mole grips which work a treat, didn't know there was a 'special tool'. Will be replacing with jubilees post haste. Thanks all very much.
