Many thanks for reply, the car was ordered and supplied with 16” alloys and 4 pots, and what you say makes perfect sense, as I reckon the spare has been switched at some point, the search is now on for the correct replacement.

Hi,
Recently purchased 2004 MGTF with 16” eleven spoke alloys, which were ordered and supplied from factory.

Hi Notanumber,
Many thanks for the welcome, as regards undertaking my own mechanical work, I think it best to say I can undertake frontline maintenance, although being able access the workshop downloads might make me take a more adventurous stance.
My MGTF has 20,000 miles and seems to have had a life of garaging and servicing luxury with oil changes etc at 1000 mile intervals and is in good health 🤞

Thank you for allowing me to join the group.
I am a keen MG fan and currently have 2 MG TF’s and a MGB roadster. Love them all but the 2004 midnight blue MGTF 135 just does it for me with the pure enjoyment it brings just motoring with top down.
Main reason for joining the group is I suppose I’m a bit of a worrier, if I hear a click, clunk etc, then it has to be checked out and this seems to be the Forum to find a great wealth of knowledge that I know I’m going to learn from.
I have a interest in all motorised vehicles, whether it be trains, boats or planes, but especially classic cars.
I’m based near Beccles Suffolk. 😊
