We have a new family member
Bet its hard to keep Jemma quite
Mine has been to the vet too. She has damaged her cruciate ligament and had to have surgery. The cheap option was $1000AU. She is going OK but has to be kept on a lead for several more weeks and kept quite, She got the stitches out today and the vet is pleased with her progress. It will be another month before she will be able to run freely.

Poor pup Dave, I guess I should be happy with just $600, I hope all goes well and she is up and about soon.

Poor pups! The collar of shame is not popular with any dog.
I remember one of ours had to wear one, and spent half the time demolishing the house with it! Mainly by colliding with things. :slapme:

I hope your pup is on the mend Dave, the Spotty Behemoth's paw has now healed nicely and she is out of her second collar of shame (she ate the first one and then chewed the bandage off) she is showing no signs of stopping growing and is currently heavier than my nine year old son at 38kg.

38kg :omg: :omg:
Mine is rather overweight at 32kg because of her injury she has been kept inactive.
Good to see Jemma is going OK
Mine is now allowed of the lead but has to be kept quite. She still has a bit of a limp on the leg but its better than it was. She thinks she owns the new rough MG as she isn't normally allowed in the good one.

Bad news for my dog. Last week the same injury occurred on the other rear leg. So today another round of surgery.
