All good thanks. Like Rambo, I fixed it myself in the end. :)

I couldn't stand waiting, in pain, for more than 4 hours at the local A&E department. So I walked out calling them everything under the sun. The place was empty, there'd been no ambulances, in or out, and whilst I was bleeding on the floor, a woman came past with a clipboard checking the dust on the over priced drinks machines. I think they need a rethink on their infection control. The receptionist never even looked at my hand and just told me to take a seat next to the sign that said 'Approx waiting time 4 hours'!

I think that they should address pain asap. Especially with such long waits. FFS I could smell the toast being made in their rest room @ 10 o'clock!

Cost me £4.70 to park there too! The whole place is an effin scam! My local GP gave me a tetanus, polio and diphtheria combined vaccination update. :broon:

yes i think the nhs stands for no health service............had some issues in a and e myself over the last couple of years............father being left on trolley for hours..then put in a deserted waiting area for 6 hours waiting for a dr to give the all clear to go home....me being sent home after falling through garage roof on my chest....with no x=ray.....i could hardly stand........ouch concrete is hard..........the thought of removing those rolls of loft insulation out of the garage the day before really gets on my wik.................nurse asked me on a scale of 1 to 10 how much pain are you in?...............when i replied 10 ........she said there no way it can be 10 because you would be screaming.........she asked shall we put you down at 7 and a half......................i said no put me down for 10 because im gong to start screaming the friggin roof off unless you get some pain relief ................i could not stand for long..........i was then seen by what they may call a health worker...........she told me to stand has she put her finger in my most painful area..............i went down to the floor..........on rising she insisted on another prod.......................she saw the look on my face and this did not happen..she gave me a strong pain killer and said i was good to go........... :bat:..................looking on the bright side the roof was repaired..................and i now have a 5 x 4 ft skylight has a permanent reminder. :P

Went out to Uttoxeter today and noticed a large police van down the road with a policewoman holding a black Labrador by a lead....i watched for some 10 minutes has the lady talked and fussed the dog....it was apparent that the dog was on walkabout and the lady was waiting to see if anyone would come looking...then a guy came looking up and down the road in a panic....he spotted his dog in police custody.....i saw the smile on his face and the quick tempo of the dogs tail........fair play to the policewoman waiting instead of just whipping the dog off to the pound...could have been a different story has this road was very close to the a50
