First complete practice of the North Lakes run today.
As a result, I've now made several changes to the second half of the run.

WOW! FREE EXTRA BONUS!

Now to include an extra free bonus mountain pass!
plus - A chance to slide down a zip-wire. I'll be safely below videoing you doing it!
Plus - A chance to see live video feed of the young Ospreys hunting over Bassenthwaite Lake.(Assuming they haven't sodded off to Africa by then.)

Updated my diary with dates for trade fairs (work related stuff) and there's a clash, so this is unfortunately a no for me.

Here are some photos taken along the route yesterday.

Ok Guys, After sampling the fare available at various food outlets along the way, I would recommend that we all bring a picnic. Unless you like paying £7:50 for a Panini and salad! (ie a toasted sandwich and a couple of bits of lettuce and half a tomato.)

DEFINITES.

David Aiketgate - with Sheila
Pendle Lass - Tracy and Daz
CJJ - Clive and Anne
Birks - Maggy
Phil-Hex - Phil
Touchstone - Ian and Julia
Jon Baker - Jon
Andy Smith - Andy
Dan Entwisle - Dan
ConsettPhil - Phil and Judy

Meet is at the Little Chef/Travel Lodge carpark. Take A66 west off jctn 40 M6; first left. 10:00. Hoping to leave 10:30 latest.

Last minute update, the weather looks OK for tomorrow, woohoo!:friday:

We're taking picnics with us as food is expensive.

Make sure you've got fuel for the run, as petrol is expensive in the Lake District(+3p/litre). There is a petrol station just off Jcn 40 towards Penrith. Take the Penrith turnoff and the station is first left on the next roundabout. You could get some food there as well if you need.

You'll need change for carparks; £4-£5 is sufficient.

Don't forget to bring a camera! You'll need it!
