Silver TF Sprint 52K
As G7nbp says, most likely an adjustment of the chetah is needed, but this can be fiddly and time consuming.
However I would suggest you first establish how the water is getting in.
Basically water cen only get in where there is a gap in the seals, or between the seals and the glass. Find these spots, and fix them and no more leaking.
However I would suggest you first establish how the water is getting in.
- When you close the roof do the roof seals butt up firmly to the A-Post seals. (If not reposition the seals. They just slide in the rails)
- Is there a gap above the window (window needs to lift higher, or the seals on the hood are at fault)
- Is the window pressing against the A-Post seal when the door is closed, or does it stick out at the top. (Cheatah needs adjusting or window is not guided by window channel in door)
- Is the correct MG TF hood fitted (the front corners are bigger and are bent down to give more protection than the older MGF hoods) Someone might have swapped hoods! From your picture the hood is correct
- Seals can also get compressed with time, so removing the seals and re-vitalising them in boiling water can swell them back out.
- Also there is a miracle fluid called "Gumi Pfledge" (german for rubber maintenance I think) that soaks into the rubber and softens it up to like new. Only a few ££ for a bottle that will last years.
