Hello! - TF 160 80th Anniversary
Hi all,
I joined the forum 3 years ago when I picked up my TF, but I don't think I ever said hello on this forum. Well, Hello! - proud owner of a 80th Anniversary 160. I'm entering the phase of "what can I do to prolong the life of this car" so I'll be keeping an eye on things you're up to such as powdercoating etc
cheers

Hi and a belated :welcome: to the forum from John in Yorkshire.
Well depending on the state of your TF , a coating of anti tinworm on the underside wouldn't go amiss. It's a never ending process of what to do next depending on how well it has been looked after in the past I suppose. With my TF, the H/G was the priority and the all important timing belt ,water pump and tensioner to make sure I had the confidence to go anywhere .

Welcome in matey!
Keep a good check on underneath, such as subframe mounts and sill corrosion, and make sure the alternator belt is in good order, as they can cause catastrophic failure if they snap and wrap around the cam belt!
A 160 anniversary model is about as good as it gets, so hope you enjoy your new car and it should be a good investment if looked after!
Piccies please!

Holy 2 year introduction thread revival! I forgot to come back and say thank you for the welcome! here's a picture of the TF. Still going strong, just off the road until next year. New tires and brakes and it'll be good to go again!
6 years total ownership now, I'm planning on getting out to a few events again next year. MGLive and probably the Snowdonia Rally which was a good laugh last time
