After having a good prod and poke about over the christmas break, I can't see the F getting a new MOT without much expense, and the fact there's a fair bit of grot in the screen surround! Add on a new screen as it's got a whacking great crack in the lower corner that someone had painted over to hide :nonod: as well as a back box that's on its last legs, rear screen, and general rust and marks, if I was going to do one up I think I'd find a better base to start with. It's a 98 on the R. and 130,000 on the clock.

Open to offers, bear in mind this is still taxed till end of April, and MOT'd to June you can drive it away, mechanically it's fine, engine and box both ok, had a HG and belt swap couple or 3 years back, receipts for stainless pipes too, good tyres on the alloys too. I'd take £500 as is, or offers on parts, but they may not be available for a few weeks.

Oh and car nr Bournemouth.

Its still in better condition than a 51plate tf115 I looked at with no MOT, and they wanted £2,500 for it. I walked away right there....
If you break it I would be interested in the cover plate in the drivers rear wheel arch for the alternator belt, Mine is missing on the F and it squeals every time I go through a couple of puddles when it dumpa water on the belt...

It looks better in the pics! If you look closely on last pic, you can see where someone painted the glass black to hide the whacking great crack and delamination of the screen down that side!

There's no cover plate on this one either I'm afraid.

I have a feeling it will get broken as I've had absolutely zero interest in buying it as is, and looking at what they fetch as projects on evil bay, I'd do better parting it out :(

That is quite rough. My old F was starting to go in the same place on the windscreen pillars, only just though. I bet its much better underneath than most TFs though.
The subframes on the Fs go by the alloy gearbox mount too, mine had a hole there.

Well I have had bugger all interest in it as is, so I'm pretty sure I shall begin ripping into this over next couple of weeks.

Be handy to find someone about to start on a Metro VVC conversion now ;)

Where are you located my friend? I need a few bits possibly for Meg's next 'fixer upper' day!!

I am possibly interested in:

Front subframe (if rust free or just surface rust)
Passenger wing (rust doesnt matter as I just need it to screw my Cheetah wheel arch to so I can fix it as it's cruched!)
Passenger door shell (if rust and scratch free)

I think that's it!

Ta,
Ad

Right, Ad, front wing is rusty where it meets bumper, but I think the pass door is ok, I will have to check, I know drivers has a trolley dent and some rust, and I've not even looked at subframe so can't comment yet.

Lee, yes you can, as seeing as no one is interested in buying it as is, and I refuse to give it away for 2-300 I fear its fate will be in bits to help keep others on the road I'm afraid.

I hope to be able to start getting bits off either next weekend, or the weekend after, unless of course someone buys complete beforehand.

I stripped an f last year and it was time intensive and you need buyers on parts BEFORE you take em off or you end up with massive storage space issues
