I still haven't heard back from them, so I guess it might've been put in the too hard basket.
I even suggested that if the parcel was too long to post that I'd be happy for the spoiler to be cut in half so as the 2 halves together would make a more manageable parcel.
I can easily rejoin them and reinforce the joint as I have the necessary fiber-glassing skills to do so. Indeed I've done it before.

So if I don't hear from them in the next few days, I guess I may have to drop out as I don't want to bugger it up for the rest of you.
