Or just fit a 100 shot NOS kit..

Was reading in an MG magazine somewhere a while back about an F owner whos fitted a 100 shot kit to his 170bhp car.. giving him 270 bhp when he presses the button

Was teasing.. Andy Watson melted his pistons on NOS..at Emerald during the mapping..

(Before the crash)

No way I'd run 100 shot.. Not even with forged pistons..

Crazy!!!

And I'm sure it's still on 240mm brakes all round.l.

Insane

I am sure these are respected guys ,only Jon norris springs to mind and Rob Bells website i find interesting.A friend of mine bought a post on some other forum to my intention about me cocking a ebay order for Jon up two times however Jon complimented my customer service and recommended me as a good guy to deal with.

I agree, with a good snort of nos the K series would leave a trail of oil and conrod allsorts up the road leading to a MG sporting a thoroughly ventilated engine block!
Chemical supercharging is a risky business at the best of times, I've seen it grenade specially prepared engines

Cant find the article now... anyone locate it? Was an F running 100 shot..

Owner claiming 270 bhp...

Debs ran NOS with success.. and Jon Norris still has NOS I believe.. and plans to resurrect his lovely F..

Two others I know of have had NOS and removed it..

One owner had his NOS set up removed by a certain 'specialist' and the kit was ruined.. so has just the bottle left.. which is for sale I believe..

The second guy is currently removing it and will be selling the kit if anyone interested..

Should have Turbocharged the 1.4 K-Series engine like MG

The fastest k-series powered MGF was the the 329bhp, EX-F, which reached 217.4mph, on the 20 August 1997 using a 1400cc turbocharged engine.

Sorry should of clarified.. 12.6 seconds for standing 1/4 mile

Myself and Dan Nyberg have been discussing a 1/4 mile day for next year...

We want to see how different set ups vary..

1.8 MPi

Steptronic

TF160 or Trophy

KV6 F or TF

Turbo charged F/TF

Super charged F/TF

F/TF on NOS

My heap..

But it would seem no one with a KV6 F/TF or Turbo F/TF is game..

It would be invaluable to the rest of the community.. to help others in deciding which route to take when it comes to engine mods etc..

Sure it also comes down to drivers.. and tyres.. but for a bit of fun/research..
