2001 MGF for sale
I bought this MGF 1.8 last year as a replacement for my MGTF, which was off the road needing extensive repairs. Having now repaired my TF, I no longer need or have space for this MGF. Since buying it, I've used it regularly for local and much longer trips and had no problems with it, until last testing it, when it refused to start, although engine turns over normally. I've checked most obvious causes such as fuses, so possible fuel pump issue. The car is in nice condition, with no leaks and clutch and gearbox are very good. Engine is swift and responsive and car handling and suspension is also very good. Its been serviced recently and had gas shocks repumped. Less recently, its had new HG kit. It only has 42k on clock and MOT until June 21st. Will accept offers around £1000. I'm in North West London.

Welcome to the forum. Im sure its purely an oversight that your first post is to advertise your F so heres your chance to tell us about it and the TF you own. Compare and contrast ownership experiences etc

Hello and thanks for your reply. I've been a member of this group for a while now, but only recently submitted my first post, advertising a 2001 MGF, which I've owned since last autumn. My main vehicle is a 2003 MGTF135, which I've owned for about 10 years, and covered nearly 96k miles. We do lots of longer journeys in 'Mig', including recent trips to the Peak District and last weekend around the West Country. We're planning a week around the Lake District very soon. Our 135 has had two replacement HGs over 10 years.

That's a lovely looking TF. Is that X power Grey ? Good luck with the sale of your F. Have you checked for the presence of a spark when you say you think the fault lies with the fuel pump ?
