A possible problem with buying a S/H Pscan is that the unit is matched to a specific computer. I believe the max is 2 before you have to contact PScan to clear it. Same (potential) problem with borrowing.
I was fortunate in being leant one which only had a single "connection" and it worked fine (eventually.)
TIP: If nothing is happening, in first rule of computing, turn the power (ignition) off, wait 10 secs, turn ignition on again.

Actually, a second-hand PScan isn't a problem, in respect of the 2 computer limit.A possible problem with buying a S/H Pscan is that the unit is matched to a specific computer. I believe the max is 2 before you have to contact PScan to clear it. Same (potential) problem with borrowing.
I bought mine second-hand. The first time I set it up, it listed the registered PCs, and provided the option to delete whichever ones were no longer needed.
I'm pretty sure that there is some info about this, from Philip, in the pscan area of this forum.

Thanks Bruce. Looks like I got that totally wrong. Info that will be useful if or when I decide to get one.
