TF Passenger side airbag & SRS ECU

TF Passenger side airbag & SRS ECU was created by quick_spider

I've had a request from SWMBO for a passenger side airbag.

Has anyone got one? Needs to be black to suit a TF/Mk2 F and have the SRS ECU (programmed for passenger side airbag) too.

WHY?

It's only because she knows it's a blank there at the moment.. I don't reckon passenger airbag will do much, but will still see if I can get one for a quiet life!

IIRC the general consesus it that the passanger airbag doesn't really help as, due to the geometry of the interior, it's too far away from the passenger to be effective. Unlike a standard tin-top (where the passanger is substantially nearer to the dashboard. It's hard to see how you are getting anywhere near it with sealtbelt pre-tensioner.

IMHO if you get the SRS airbag blank instead - it's also one less thing to cause the SRS warning light to go on.

Just my personal opinion ;)

Shhhhhh, don't want to scare you, but it is possible to have an accident where, shall we say, the dashboard may not stay the same distance from the passenger as was originally designed. :drive:
