Saw a similar thread on .org but the Alfa sun visors had round mirrors instead of rectangular. are they from a different model?

Same car. The round mirror ones are like Hen's teeth. I think they come from an SE version

I opted for sunstrip at the top of the screen and filling in the holes where the sunvisors used to be mounted

Ignore the satin silver paint.. The external sunvisor was easy on mine as I have the single wiper conversion..

I was really interested in that conversion(is it called STORM?) to one wiper but I quickly realised that for me it's a no-no.

Because of my height while seated in the car I actually look through the top 6 inches of the screen and this would reduce the % of that area being cleaned by the wiper(s).

It's back length that's the problem for me. Trouble is I took the seat out completely and sat on the floor, that was about right for me! :bust:

david, do you have a how to for the alfa visors? i wouldn't mind a picture to have a butchers at if there is one?

Lee

How to.

Remove the two screws holding the sun visor, take sun visor and throw in bin.
Offer up GTV spider sunvisor, notice the two sheaths/tubes the screws go down are slightly too long for the space. Take a couple of mm off each tube with a stanley knife (don't cut yourself).
Offer up new visor again, screw in the two screws, sit back and admire your new visor.

Repeat for other visor. :broon:

Thanks for this David.

I've just fitted a pair of Alfa GTV visors that I got from eBay for £15 (the pair). They look great - much better than the originals.

Hope its sunny tomorrow!

Thanks again for the useful suggestion
