Hi iam looking to buy an mg tf for my wife , what should i be looking for a part from the usual headgasket problems :-? :-?

I can recommend looking through this guide

Although based about the earlier MGF, it is all relevant to the later MGTF apart from the change in suspension to conventional spring/damper setup fro the Fs hydragas. Look out for clonking or creaking from the suspension.

Check if the headgasket has been changed to the uprated MLS gasket.

A rough idea of your spend limit would give us a chance to point you in the right direction.

Cheers Ben, I would not say its 100% ben but its very nice and just had a lot of work done on it still needs two tyres at the mo..

Hi p38 it's a F not a TF £2000 will get u a TF03 vvc

BILSTIEN DAMPERS, 4-2-1 MANIFOLD, HEAD WORK BY SABRE.

For 1400 you can have mine with all the extra bits I have. It's an 04TF head gasket was done in September, full leather, 16s & aps and LOADS of extra stuff either on or to go on in the garage including spoiler, quad lights.... It has xpower exhaust + decat
