Has anyone got a spare engine bay sensor lying around they want to sell me please 7

Hi mate, I have one. I bought it from MGFnTFbitz a couple of weeks ago for £10 +postage.
I was going to retro fit it in my '04 TF until I found out I don't need it as the ECU controls the fan for the engine bay.
I'll take a picture of it so you can see it. I've basically took it out of the packaging and put it into a drawer!

Thats why I bought one, because it wasn't there! But when I asked on the forum I was advised its because the ECU does the monitoring of the temp. In fairness my fan works as I'd expect it too - hence my redundant sensor

On later TF's the engine bay fan runs in parallel with the rad fans, so no engine fan sensor. :broon:
It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..
