As title really.

First repair to the old girl is attempting to refit the plastic to the instrument cluster. For some reason it is broken and needs replacing. Its for an MGF with digital odometer. Cheap and cheerful would be great or even better a swapsey for two Rover 75 chrome door handle surrounds with plastic inserts all Dremmel'ed and ready to be fitted. These were my first mod and I don't like the look so happy to swap! :coat:

I assume the cover alone will be a hard find, but complete instrument clusters are not very expensive on fleabay...

The clear covers are very brittle and are glued in. When I was doing the plasma dials and illuminated needles I ended up buying another instrument cluster to replace the cover I cracked. :bang:

If I bought a used cluster from eBay then how would I get the cover off without cracking it. Could you heat it gently with a hairdryer to soften the glue? Or would it stil break? Would prefer this route as I take it a T4 session would be needed to reconfigure mileage and set to the car?

A hairdryer and patience is needed to ease it off without cracking. :yesnod:
