Wanted: loom wiper plug from MGF mk2 or TF - gotit was created by Fatbaldingoldgit

Anyone got an old MGF mk2 or TF loom lying around doing nothing?..I'm looking for the loom (male) wiper plug and a few inches of loom..

It's a square grey plug with 5 thin connectors..

I think the F and TF versions are different..



This is the other half that it should plug into....

Im pretty sure the mk2 F is the same as the TF so you'll be looking for a 2001ish onward car to get the right connector (I just swapped out the broken wiper assembly on my mk2 F and had to change the motor as the replacement assembly had the earlier connector). :D

I Think you are the buyer who bought the le500 motor and linkages from me on ebay

The changeover from the large plug to small plug depending on the date car manufactured then registered is normally some late 1999 and most 2000 v reg the mymgfs have them.

They are the same motor are the same amount of wires and the colours are identical. You can remove your large plug from mark one motor and solder than heat shrink the plug onto the the smaller plug.Or vice versa if you get the smaller loom plug.

Yes..I am that man..

I didn't buy it to fit into my LE right now....I'm constructing a test rig to investigate/fiddle with a single wiper/parallel wiper conversion..don't really want to fanny about with non-standard plugs as I do intend to eventually just replace my existing setup with this one..

Do you know if any of the other Rover models used the same plug?..can't really be confined to just MGF/TF can it? I'll prolly drive up to my local scrappy and investigate later this am..

ZT ZR ARE Different.
The rover 45 ZS is identical 5 pin plug infact the same motor is used on LHD MGZS opposite hand.
I only have complete shell looms for sale on ebay and chances are if i cut the motor plug off a good loom i will struggle to sell it.
If you have no joy down the scrapyard,let me know i will call in a couple of scrapyards by me should be a 45 stacked up somewhere.

rats!...Just managed to score one from the local scrappy...actually have both parts now so using one I have the mate to yours..any use?
