Seriously though, that could be an option (buying yourself a spoiler not me that is), albeit an expensive one, especially if you were thinking of fitting a spoiler at some stage

It's funny you say that, I was showing my wife the full bumper complete with the holes and surrounds that is (still) on eBay for £100, but that would need spraying, then I showed her the M99 spoiler (that would also need spraying) for £86. So it's a toss-up between the two, as we could save on the posting cost of the full bumper as it's in Hull and my step daughter lives there, so it's £85 + spraying or £86 + spraying hmmmmmmm
I quite like the original look, but don't fancy the extra cost and inconvenience of replacing the bumper or having spray work done......... All this for a couple of poxy pieces of plastic. :bat: :nonod:

Did you get anywhere with 3D printing the surrounds?

You could borrow mine if that is a viable, ie cost effective option. I'd have to work out to get them off first mind you

Printing 3D is really too much of a problem, finding somewhere that will copy them has turned out to be more of a problem.
Also there is a danger of them breaking in the removal process, so I wouldn't recommend it if you still want them on yours, but thanks for the thought.
I'm actually considering a pair of MGZR ones, but just worried that they might sit a little high for the swag line between them and the indicators, only one way to find out for sure I suppose......

Ive found a site that does 3d printing with prices starting at £6.99 for up to 20cm3, which seems very cheap. They need an .stl file of the article thought and I don't know how you'd go about creating one of those tbh. Google Sketchup (free design software) could do it but I don't have the skills to do it or I'd be tempted to have a go. I reckon you could sell a few of these if you could get them manufactured to a reasonable standard.

Anyway good luck with finding suitable surrounds. Keep us informed.....

I too am still looking for a right hand surround, I have managed to get a tame sheet metal worker mate to make me a set of new brackets out of aluminium though.

I'll see how well I get on with making the right-hand one out of ally and if all goes well then I might make up the left-hand one as well rather than use the plastic original.
If anyone else is interested in the dimensions then I'll gladly post these up.

Just remembered that this is all in the WANTED section so I'll start a thread in the proper section once I get going with it all :)

So to re-cap, I'm still looking for the right-hand (drivers side) bracket and both bumper surrounds if anyone can help out.

Dave, I can ask my mate if he can make two sets while he is at it if you like. Only thing is I'm not sure what postage would be like and he is not renowned for being quick with projects.

Thanks bud that's a really good offer, but I think due to the distance and subsequent postage cost I'll give it a go first.
Shouldn't be too difficult, the only real problem will be the offset stagger between each side, but I think the solution to that is going to be an additional piece of metal bolted (doubt I'll find an aluminium welder for such a small piece! lol)

Well the passenger lamp and the bracket arrived yesterday and the lamp is, again, in perfect and very clean condition and the bracket has never been fitted (no evidence that it has anyway).
These things really are flimsy!! Really don't know why these weren't made out of either metal or at least a much more resilient material!

Very happy bunny :woohoo:

Now got a complete front bumper with holes and surrounds coming, thanks to Andrew Wardrobe (AKA mgsparesteesside), the only problem is that it needs prep'ing and spraying, but non-the-less that just leaves the drivers side bracket short so I really must find the time to get to the workbench and get on with it :) :drive:
