WANTED (parts new/ used for MGF)

New to this forum...
I would appreciate your input/ advice...
Looking to source 421 exhaust manifold, sports Cat, back box with 4 rather than two pipes... 52mm throttle body etc..
The usual old story; trying to do it on a budget...
I know I can just buy one off the shelf, with work done already
Looking to do the work on it myself with my young son, call it bonding, midlife crisis, whatever
If possible a mix of new and old...
looking at Mike Satur stuff, super impressive, but, for me just too expensive...
seen some stuff on ebay but again just not sure about it...

421 manifolds are never going to be cheap. :nonod: .You can get a stainless manifold and downpipe copy, but there is no performance gain.

I think to get a quad exhaust cheaply, you may need to adapt a two pipe. Perhaps buy a Toyo stainless and cut the end pipes off and add a couple of twin finishers.

52mm Throttle bodies do come up regularly on ebay.

If your going to change the throttle body why not put a 58 mm vauxhall one on these fit on with a little bit of work and only 20 quid on Ebay if you fancy it there's a page on it if you google it.

I've read about this 58mm Vauxhall TB mod but wasn't convinced, the 52mm TB is plug and play.

Got the throttle body, pipercross panel air filter. Cybox quad back box. Full service done. The gent I bought the car off told me he got double gaskets put on. I assume the timing belt was done also but not sure!!! Lost contact with the chap. Mike satur wheel hub adapted... Not sure weather to buy 16" or 17" alloys but... Thinking rota grids or JR12's in white... Collecting one of them tomorrow...
