Yeah, there was nothing wrong with the plastic screen, I just made the decision to go glass!
I have a couple of people after the plastic window so all's good.:yesnod:

Thanks for the response.
Does the MGF come with the circuit for the rear heated screens?
I saw your video, where you simply plugged in, so, was just wondering if the circuit is already there in my car.
Is there a way to check this?

The wiring is already there. You just need a relay and a switch.
Relay goes here in the fuse box under the steering wheel.
The relay is a standard automotive relay like this.

Posted 13 years 8 months ago #21866I also found the connector looked different from the one in the car, but when I tried it, I was able to connect them without issue.teri wrote: I bought mine at the show and cos it was busy I couldnt convince Peter to go and fit it!!!! Thanks for the rivet gun though.. I do have a slight issue with mine though. The connector for the heated screen is different to the one I have fitted on the other end.. So, my question is.. Are the wires on the screen itself positive and negative? Or doesnt it matter which way round they go? (if that makes any sense to anyone other than me!!!)
Just try to push one into the other!
To answer your question - one connection is to positive one to negative. It doesn't matter which way round.

I tried to connect it, but, the original one has a bump (tech term!) on the side of it, which wont fit inside the other bit  If I get time tomorrow I will take some photo's and show you what I mean.. I am not sure that the one that is on my car is 'original' if it is, then its probably about the only thing that is lol
