Drain fuel tank .fill with new petrol

Need to drain fuel tank .not possible to syphon .need to fit pipe to filter and drain from there
Is it just switch on ign .or is there a run only relay

If you are planning to use the fuel pump to drain the tank, be aware that if it runs dry, the pump will likely be destroyed!

Just put a long length of fuel hose with a siphon pump from the fuel line to a big enough container on the floor.
I always use the priming bulb from an old outboard motor as a siphon pump........been using the same one for over 30 yrs, works a treat!

Found relay .pipe has easy connector from fuel filter 8mm pipe to container .just not run pump dry . Fill new petrol .

No ,didn't bother .got 8 litres out to almost empty just by ign on batt switch on/ off a few times . Found a large black big 2 socket relay behind ECU . Looked at it and put back .
Changed oil and filter .Almost forgot fill engine via cam cover filler .Eng cover is .. off. Very slow via filler at rear + dipstick .
Battery CLP to put back . Stupid place for clamp. Might pass MOT check for brakes and glass analysis . Fresh petrol will help.
