I find the easiest way to get rid of the blue bar is to close the on board keypad. When you go back into the editing pane the blue bar has gone.

To be honest, I don't think I've ever used any of the icons on the blue bar, so perhaps it might be an idea to have an option to switch it on and off in your preferences?

That might shed some light on it.
The Blue bar is turned off Globally, so shouldn't appear at all.
On my tablet (Asus TF101 running android) it doesn't show up at all.
On my Phone (HTC One running android) it does show up but behaves it self and sits at the bottom of screen. Not noticed before as i normally use tapatalk on the phone.

For speed. Technically we should be faster than the impression I'm getting, if i do a comparison against a site your used to, a full none cached page load is in our favor, Need to find whats blocking it for you guys, Which is proving difficult as i can't replicate any of the issues

there's something being called when loading pages, it still won't run sandboxed, and sometimes sits for ages, then suddenly loads.
it's strange and not even consistent. :-?

Visitors don't add anything to the forum & I think that besides looking for moderators, we need some one to organise
meets/runs etc. so that members can get to know one another & also bring increased interest to the Forum.
May I suggest asking for volunteers from different regions to have a go at this.
I would be willing to cover S.Wales, W.Mids & S.West within a 70 mile radius of Gloucester.
Also we seem to have lost some well known posters eg Whiz & John & Sue ;)

Worth remembering if I just flick over the forum I dont bother logging in, so will show as a visitor, I suspect many members do the same.

Could it be a browser based artefact?

I'm running Safari on my iPad. I'm guessing you're not on your Asus.

I'm away for a few days but will try it in Safari on my Windoze PC when I get home.

Simon

A somewhat interesting finding perhaps?

I'm writing this in Opera browser on the iPad and there's no blue bar

So +1 for Opera.

But it doesn't let me select and insert any of the 'smileys'

Suggests that the blue bar artefact is a browser issue with iOS.

Also tried Mercury on the iPad and that did show the blue bar. Shame because it's pretty lightweight and fast.

Robin

Slight amendment - the blue bar is there in Opera but it stays out of the way at the bottom of the page

I'm also using opera on my pc, without issue. IE11 is not as good with the site.

Tapatalk on iPad appears to be ok.

First time I've used it - not too sure about it tbh
