Good stuff. Are any benefits actually incurred from this proactivity? Other than site popularity of course. What's it all about.. Alfie?

:woohoo: We must be doing something right, well done everyone, especially to you Simon, working single handedly behind the scenes to update the site, keep everything running smoothly and make it such a pleasant experience to use.

I farmed out the 'New car in a tin' idea early yesterday evening and noticed a large spike in site activity. 599 views. Pretty awesome. :broon:

Another good, high activity spike. They're rare. But well worth seeing from time to time. :broon:
The plastic paint drew the numbers in on this one. I'd even go as far as saying that it will, in time, likely be the most popular T-Bar site topic of interest for external visits / viewers. I'll be making a video of it next week.

Did you know that Simon Goldsworthy (Editor of MG Enthusiast) wants to do a piece on it for MG Enthusiast whilst we're at Pride of Longbridge?

So I can understand the logic in your strategy. Why is it we want to attract MX5 owners, Fiat owners, Saab owners and MR2 owners to the T-Bar?

Is it just to get increased visitor figures at any cost? Surely these visitors, who make no positive contribution to the site, simply take up bandwidth and slow down the site for the MGF/TF owners the site is aimed at?

Good news about the magazine article in MG Enthusiast. Lets hope the site gets a mention too.

Same strategy as 'the site getting a mention' in a magazine really Paul. ;) It's free advertising for the T-Bar, yes. But it's also interesting for others to view these topics. Not everything has an agenda. In this case though, the agenda is activity. Do they need to be members? Some have joined, some have just looked and left. Many, many, many return as guests frequently.

You can't know that there's not someone out there who will make a positive contribution or become a member, perhaps even buy a car at some point. One long time lurker became a fully fledged member today and he brought a positive contribution with him too. It's in the lpg discussion thread. Different people have differing reasons of course. Who knows what will come of it all. Time will tell. :)

At any cost. Not sure what that means exactly but I would imagine it relates to site speed and bandwidth usage perhaps?

More activity, more bandwidth, more members, customers.. small fish, big pond or the alternative?

lol just as a point of interest an mx-5 forum member recommended our sponsor to his brother. :broon:
