What do people think?

Works out that if you're a childless couple who dont smoke earning over 150k a year and only going to buy a house worth 1.999m then its an outstanding budget for you.
For everyone else, prepare for the squeeze.

£220 extra that can be earnt before tax is going to be swamped by the cost of living increases by the time they come in.

How long before it will be cheaper to fill the tank with beer than petrol??

Pandering to the upper classes and to financial based industry. The UK's main export being financial services.
The common man in the street is being made to pay for our specialisation in 1 single industry thats come back to hold the government to ransom.

Grrr hit a nerve me n the Mrs have got jobs and get eff all from the gov because we earn more than the usual. However when it costs you so much to live you need a recent wage to live really gets me going when I see the chavs popping sprogs out and me paying for em. If I ever get laid off as the Mrs earns a decent wage ill get nothing. All wrong never claimed anything since leaving school

If anybody ever thinks it will change...... well sorry i have news for you lol any party who gets in will be the same give to the left hand take more from the right i expect most of you have heard the saying "you cant polish a turd" well the goverment has been trying that for years... its about time they realised nobody falls for it... but realistically what else can they do our country is in deep doo do becuase somebody decided to bail other countrys out and support the banks... oh how wonderful it was that the head of the bank turned down the 1m bonus... what should have happened was that money went back to the goverment and its about time we started to claw some money back from our friends over the sea..

so as always the small man that works hard.. pays his bills and tax's gets hit in the pocket.. why.... well its because the same person that does all that is a compliant person and will accept it... Its time to stand up and be counted .... its time for civil war lol

Now you see why we drive open tops......cos it doesn't matter what party is in and how bad things get...we just fling open the top and rock on!!! :woohoo:

However if petrol gets too dear then we will have to do it on our drives and pretend!!!
i remember as a kid I used to put cigarette packets in the forks of my bike and make an engine noise on my spokes (remember?) Well we may have to do that again on our motors if petrol gets more expensive (a how to needed??) Actually we probably won't be able to use cigarette packets anymore as smokers will be selling them on ebay or something...
Just some thoughts
:P

Ahem try being a single Mum who worked full time bringing up 4 children with no maintenance for my 3 daughters as he moved to Canada, and being owed £153,600.00 for my son and watching it get reduced to £5,200.00 by some stupid liberal wishy washy left wing Magistrate who is dictated to by a liberal society that is more interested in protecting and providing for those on benefits, rather than those that work very hard ..

There was no such thing as free child care, I paid for all my children to have private education at the age of 2 and a nanny so I could earn my money ..

It makes me sick ..

And do not even get me started on the benefits bill for so called political refugees and EU members ..

If you have not contributed, you should not get, end of ......

It worked OK for me... Corporation tax down, personal allowance up.
I don't smoke, my booze comes from Foren parts and the rest doesn't seem to affect me too much if at all.
Fuel cost is a bit of a bugger, I was hoping for a reversing of the planned rise but I'll just have to pass that on to my clients again.
