However, catching up on some reforms and
If the Tories are looking for savings, perhaps they should look here:
OAP allowance £106
Immigrants weekly allowance £250
OAP spouse allowance £25.00
Immigrants spouse allowance £225.00
OAP weekly hardship allowance £0.00
Immigrants weekly hardship allowance £100.00
OAP benefits per annum £6,000
Immigrants benefits per annum £29,000
Meanwhile, the cost of immigration is 8.8billion. That includes 100m translation costs, Racial Equality Commission £32m, Ethnic minority awards scheme £169m, English lessons for immigrants £280m, Asylum support £1.6billion, money sent ‘home’ by foreign workers £1.4billion and the cost of immigration crimes £4billion...

I believe that your vote should be scaled by how much tax you pay. That way the chavs would not be able to vote themselve a benefits rise that we pay for.Softly~Softly wrote:
And do not even get me started on the benefits bill for so called political refugees and EU members ..
If you have not contributed, you should not get, end of ......
I hated the last Labour Government, but putting up tax on pensions if you have saved something is just unacceptable. Then they have the nerve to say you should save more when they are removing all incentives and putting the tax up. The final straw was trying to tell me they were not, putting it up they must thing we have **** for brains.
Iam relaxed about the top rate coming down. Those earners just wont pay it if its too high. /theres an economic theory that I'm sure Gordon Brown knew all about that proves it. He just put it there as a booby trap.

Pensions have been paid for with money that has already been taxed at source and the same with savings ..
Basically no secondary taxation should be allowed, that would encourage people to save and possibly bring offshore investments back into the UK ..
I had to laugh at the crowds outside Parliament chanting 'tax the rich, not the poor' on the day the personal tax allowance lifted nearly a million poorer-paid people out of the tax bands. Also, they clearly don't understand that lowering the top rate always results in greater tax revenue.
Have you ever sat down and thought how many EU countries immigrants go through before they actually reach the UK, and why they chose to come here, and not stop in France Italy Spain Portugal etc etc .....

Case in point the country is too soft and lax on immigration, we are overly generous to all our visitors who we pay to house while they work (and offshore the money) or exhort cash from the benefit system. If you want to live and work in the UK, excellent - but you fund your job seeking and accomodation costs until you are in work not UK PLC.
When the cash jobs dry up the workers disappear and the benefit claimants and dependants are left. If you go to Poland, Germany or France and asked to be housed by the state and have all documentation translated into English to help you make claims while you "seek" work - see how far you get. Address this financial drain on the economy and you can really invest in our diminishing manufacturing industry. :bang:

The influx of immigrants with no work, no job prospects, and in many cases no intention to work have created a sinking Britain ..
Immigration should only be for those who are sponsored or who have a skill which is needed..
We should take a leaf out of Canada's immigration book, and turn away those with no means to fund themselves, or who have no skills which could gain them employment or a sponsor ..
I do acknowledge that those in employment often work very very hard for far less than the minimum wage, but the fact that they do do this allows employers to exploit it, and in turn allows our own youth to sit on their fat asses claiming benefits with the excuse that there are no jobs..
Our hospitals cannot facilitate for the ill, we cannot pay our pensioners the pensions they deserve and have worked for, and those that genuinely need help from the state, are receiving far less due to us putting others before our own ..
Britain's open door policy is a joke, which the powers that be have full knowledge of, but are to scared to be seen as politically incorrect by saying this island is shut until our economy is on the mend, we can house and look after our own and our national debt has been reduced by 75%..
We spend billions in foreign aid helping countries that will never be able to help us, and would not, should the need arise, because we have the audacity to try and impose our culture on to country's that do not want to implement it, and in many cases are still evolving at their own rate, and doing exactly what we did in the 17/1800's and only through this will they become self sufficient and grasp the reality's of life..
We spend billions on arms to fight other countries battles, which has made us as hated as the Americans and also made us a target ..
The Americans made fools of themselves over Vietnam and due to their arrogance will continue to do so, unfortunately dragging Britain along, due to a debt we think we owe them from WW2 when they came in to "Save" us at the very last minute..
We do not have their financial resources, our soldiers should not be there, and the drain it is has become on our own military has become humiliating and a disgrace to those sent there without the basic equipment needed for their every day needs ..
Anyway that is my rant for the day over, apologies to those who find it offensive ..
