did you fit a second hand alternator or new last time
also have you had to jump start the car
reasons if you jump start the car and spark the bettery with the terminals you can blow the alternator diodes thus alternator fails
second hand is faulce ecconomy as you dont know the history
mad about cars and bikes 
if it aint broke dont fix it
