Posted 12 years 7 months ago #45138Britain is turning into a nation of narrow minded misery guts! Get a life, is my answer. If someone's happy and not hurting anybody, why shouldn't they do what pleases them?
It's actually very easy to fall into the trap of finding fault with everything. Seriously, it is the first step to depression. I know...

Posted 12 years 7 months ago #45146I went on another forum for a nose, as you do, and left rather quickly as it was so full of doom, gloom and pessimism, if I read that and I was contemplating buying an MGF/TF it would stop me...
Mental note do not let Suze go on there
There are so many positives to having a topless car, especially an MG, seems some really are just jealous or so angry at life, that they try and destroy what others find gives them happiness :nonod:

Posted 12 years 7 months ago #45154It's their car, they can do what they like with it. :yesnod: There also may be a perfectly good reason that hood is up, you just don't know.
Example
Sheila came back from town in glorious sunshine with the top up. Seeing that you'd think... :omg:
However she'd just had her hair done.

Too true David, the day after the Friends Round London run we drove back with the roof up, it was a glorious day but I'd got an eye infection and even with sunglasses on I couldnt keep my eyes open

This is very true David, one of my friends has an 18 month old BMW convertible and he has the roof up nearly all the time... not by choice, mind you, the motorised hood keeps jamming and in the past three months it has been back to BMW four times and each time for at least three days. He is getting very, very fed up with whole sorry saga. So yes there may well be a very good reason why those motorised roofs stay up

Posted 12 years 7 months ago #45172iv been going to work with the roof down park it in the secure car park with the roof down drive home for lunch then back to work then home the long way , then get the dog take him for his walk get home roof now goes up time for bed for the car
just a note on the bmw
vauxhall started selling the twintop in 06 (metal roof convertable) but have had problems as you need a special jig to re align the roof
so for 2012 the new astra will have a soft top again
the tigra has stoped production and a new soft top will be unvailed next year
so soft tops rule :broon:
me a poser never roof down stereo playing loud metal nope not me :bust:
mad about cars and bikes
