Bullitt the best car chase movie ever?

This one was a whole lot simpler than some of the more recent offers. Basically just a chase between to two vehicles for the whole film.

From nearly 30 years ago now, and the feature-length directing début of the amazing story teller ~ Mr Spielberg :yesnod:



This film was tense and nerve racking first time around. I watched it again recently and it hasn't lost anything - a classic car chase if ever there was one and a story every driver hopes will never happen to them.

The Audi one reminds me of when the wife got done for speeding and got sent to speed school [to learn to do it better] :spank: HA HA

I'd have to go with Ronin as well .... especially the second chase with the Peugoet and M5.

Ok, this is not a car chase, but is the infamous run through Paris early morning in Ferrari. Allegedly the "Ronin" director wanted the same look and feel as this classic footage. The film is often reprised but the volume of current traffic limits the real impact of the original and the fact the Driver/Director knew how to stabilise the camera give it a professional look. I am not advocating running red lights but it appears the only thing this guys slows for is Dustbin trucks! Enjoy.......

I remembered part of the clip being used on a music video, but couldn't remember which one. I had a vague idea it was a Snow Patrol one, so went searching ....... and stumbled on the above article by accident.
Of course, it might just all be just hearsay.
