I did a similar thing but put a switch blank front on - so it looks like it doesn't do anything.

I also wired the 'switch' side of the relay as follows:
live from cigarette lighter
earth to handbrake switch

That way the keys have to be in the ignition for the switch to operate AND the hand brake must be on - that way you don't get the boot opened by an over-inquisitive passenger whilst in motion ;)

...but that won't help if you've locked the keys in the boot.

Good luck :broon:

What I do not get is why take your keys out of the boot lock and put them in the boot :-?

I always leave mine in, as I know I would lock them in without thinking :yesnod:

Cos if you're like me and have lots of keys/keyrings they scratch the paintwork!

As Jan said - Good luck Laz! Look forward to hearing how you do it and seeing pics :yesnod:

After losing all my car keys and house keys once, I now have them all on separate key rings, a pain in the butt, and I will never forget nearly being in tears when trying to open Madam for 15 minutes with no luck, only to find I was using the Janlander keys doh, but at least I only lose one now, not 3, and do not have a great big bunch which when you are driving tend to ladder your tights as well :pinch:
