F1 - Hamilton to Mercedes.

McClaren snapping up Perez before Ferrari get hold of him.

Couldn't see Hamilton going straight from McClaren to Ferrari but with a stint at Mercedes I think its highly possible.

De Resta just hasn't clicked yet, dont know if Force India are providing a good enough car hopefully he can take Perez' spot at Williams in a proven quick car on its day and show what he can really do.

I think Hamilton has made biggest mistake of his career. If Schumacher and Rosberg can't get car on podium what chance of him getting any wins.

Perez meanwhile should give Jenson a good run for his money.

Been a McLaren fan since the seventies. Considering the support that they have given LH since age 13, I thought more loyalty would be in evidence. He won't need the money: its a 'perceived value' thing: I'm worth more than him etc.

JB and LH can be mardy sods, but I did love the fact that we had double Brit, double World Champ format.

Merc may well come good next season: same engines as McLaren, if they sort the aero package they will be in with a shout. Also will have LH input re: McLaren set up etc. I don't really rate Rosberg, and old Schuey is showing his age I'm afraid. So LH could be the catalyst in the Mercedes team.

I also wanted De Resta: he has good pace, is a Brit and would keep JB on his toes.
If Williams had at least one Brit driver, I'd transfer my allegiance to old Frank!!

Although, McLaren have dropped the ball a few times recently. I'm not sure Whitmarsh is a strong enough leader. Love him or hate him, Ron Dennis knew how to get results.

Agree David: I rated good old Ron. Martin W comes across as a nice guy, Ross B as a nice guy who you wouldn't want to cross!

Like david, I think he had enough of Whitewash. Had Ron still Ben in charge I don't think Lewis would have left.

I can't wait to see how he does at Mercedes.

Grapes a little sour Luca?

Perez is a product of Ferrari's driver academy and had been linked with a move to the Italian team as replacement for Felipe Massa.

However, Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo claimed Perez lacked the necessary experience.

My thoughts also David.
Any takers for Shumi a season at Ferrari? Surely Massa has to go: poor bloke hadn't been the same since that spring clattered his head!
