Bonfire Night
Its my home town's bonfire night is to tonight, Its a long running tradition in Sussex to celebrate Guy Fawkes one town at time.
The Bonfire Societies all converge and basicly wander the streets waving flamming torches , each week until the 5th November where it all ends at lewis where the gunpowder plot was (err) plotted.
Its a great night out, and gives us a month of fireworks.

No that would be my mothers name :yesnod: I am more of an Esk
We shall be travelling to one of those what are in Sussex this year too as soon as they stop changing hubby's shifts every five minutes and we can sort something out minus small peoples who turn into horrors after dark
P.S. I will be careful Jan, I will make sure my cloak covers my sky cladding so the neighbours don't freak too much

We always have a large bonfire in Clitheroe,,,it's been run for as long as I can remember and all the town comes together for a great night and raises a lot of money for good causes
until the do-gooders have poked their noses in this year... :bang:

The advantage of living on a hill surrounded by small villages in the valley below is we can sit on the balcony with the gas heater on, watching everybody else's fireworks.:yesnod:
