The Beach Boys album is Holland. The Wilson Brothers , Al (Jardine) and (Mike) love are self explanatory. (For completists Ricky Fataar and Blondie Chaplin were also Beach Boys at the time.)

The destination is Big Sur, the title of the first track of the *California Saga" trilogy, The full verse containing "Where Country Joe will do his show and he'd sing about liberty" is as follows

"Have you ever been to a festival
The Big Sur congregation?
Where country Joe will do his show
And he'd sing about liberty"

and is from California part 3 of the California Saga.

Finally Irish band The Thrills also recorded a different song called Big Sur which got to no 17 in the singles chart in 2003

Ah! Many 70's US bands referenced Big Sur. Also many folk greats like Joan Baez appeared at festivals there.

Country Joe (and The Fish) gave an excellent performance at Woodstock.

So, whose go is it? Do I get half a point for getting the album? :)

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

The Beach Boys did twice on one album!

John I think you should go next. You did get Holland and also mentioned California earlier
