I still have all the Dinky army cars and trucks I had as a kid in the sixties, also a few others: Land rover, Morris J Type van, Daimler ambulance etc. Now around 50 years old. Also still got the Mamod traction engine I got for my eighth birthday!!
It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Easy enough to respray with an air brush to chosen colour!!
When i was convalescing a few years back I stripped and resprayed all my Dinky army vehicles (previously mentioned)
I know the purists say it ruins the value but I don't intend parting with them!!
You can still get decals, rubber replacement tyres etc!!
It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..
