Most tank level indicators are as accurate as a 9 bob watch.
Moving on: each litre increases the level by 0.66 mm, so 1000 litres would = 660mm from the bottom of the tank, so the most accurate but potentially messy way would be to drop a suitable stick through the filler until it touches bottom, pull it out and measure the length of wet stick, then multiply that by 0.66 to get the exact litres remaining.

Jan, you will regret asking the question :omg: did the print out from the tanker show 1000 litres delivered. John is quite correct, especall about the 9 bob Watch (you remember old money)

Yes the print out did show 1000 Bryan, its just me I thought as it had a 1/4 of a tank in a 1000lt would fill it up to the top, not 3/4 :dry:
