Draining antifreeze
Can I drain my water from F when engine/water is hot? Will it affect anything if I do,or should it be drained when engine cold? Please help

Yeah just be careful about doing it if the system is still under pressure.

Was going to say the only thing it would effect is you.
Make sure that there is no pressure in the system by carefully releasing the expansion cap.

The reason for questions Im driving to a mechanic for him to carry out work.I just want to know thats all ok when doing/finished flush etc.

Yeah, you can refill with cold no problem. the mechanic will probably know to give 15 -20 minures to cool down a bit.:broon:

Hmm.
I wouldn't want to put cold coolant into a hot/warm system.
If he drains the coolant first and then does whatever other jobs he needs to do to give the engine chance to cool down first it should be ok.
