I can imagine why all of those are on the list.

For me, the song that most affects my driving is (nerd moment) is any live version of "Market Square Heroes" by Marillion, especially the version that appears on "Reel to Reel."

Can't believe I'm a 26 year old classic Marillion fan!

Andy

According to research these are the Top 10 safest songs to drive to:

1. “Come Away With Me” – Norah Jones
2. “Billionaire Feat. Bruno Mars” – Travie McCoy
3. “I’m Yours” – Jason Mraz
4. “The Scientist” – Coldplay
5. “Tiny Dancer” – Elton John
6. “Cry Me a River” – Justin Timberlake
7. “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” – Aerosmith
8. “Karma Police” – Radiohead
9. “Never Had a Dream Come True” – S Club 7
10. “Skinny Love”

So it seems if you wanna be a safer driver....Listen to Coldplay, Elton John and Norah Jones - but avoid the Black Eyed Peas :drive:

Anything by Coldplay would probably put you to sleep at the wheel.

Lead boot musical encouragement:

Born to be Wild, Steppenwolf

Born to Run, Springsteen

Cafe del Mar, Energy 51

Don't fear the Reaper, Blue Oyster Cult

Roadhouse Blues, the Doors

Etc etc

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

So, where is Detroit Rock City, Radar Love and My Generation?

Ain't it funny, how time slips away...?

I have to agree, lots of far more 'dangerous' songs around.
The list is more an admission of the lister's lack of knowledge about music than anything else.

When there was talk about a Sex Pistols reunion/tour/ recording - the local paper did a voxpop and one teeenager's reaction was. 'I've never heard of them, so they can't be much good!'

Now whether you thought they were dreadful or wonderful, for anyone with even a pretence of musical knowledge not to have heard of the Sex pistols is unbelievable!
I'm sure his next answer would have been 'That was before I was born, duh!'

I love this as a driving song, King of Emotion, by Big Country. Very underestimated. I can't believe this is 25 years old this year

As we all seem to agree that the list is wrong, let's make our own, A 'dangerous' song being defined as most likely to make you drive like Steve McQueen in Bullitt.

I suggest that everyone comes up with the 2 most 'dangerous' songs they know.

I will nominate Radar Love by Golden Earring,
and Badlands by Bruce Springsteen :drive:... :hgf:
