For me:

Roadrunner cartoons.

I have every one ever made thanks to Sue. No matter how down you you feel, the 'Acme Rocket Powered Pogo Stick' will make you smile. As will 'Acme Railway Tunnel Effect Paint'. For use on mountainsides. Which the Roadrunner will run through. And the Coyote will go splat.

:P

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Loved those cartoons. :broon:
Somebody spoiled the whole thing recently by pointing out that a Coyote can run twice as fast as a Roadrunner. Meep, meep!

I do guffaw loudly at Family Guy!

Roadrunners can run at speeds of up to 20 miles per hour (32 km/h) and generally prefer sprinting to flying. Roadrunners will fly to escape predators. Meep meep!

And also, that if a coyote falls 5000 feet off the top of a mountain, it doesn't make a descending whistle noise, go pwffft in a cloud of dust then immediately recover and chase the Roadrunner again. It dies. Horribly. Ruptured spleens and stuff.

Also, recent research has shown that if a mouse hits a cat in the face with a steam iron, the cats face does not actually go temporarily iron-shaped, then recover soon after.

It does in fact get hideously maimed then dies soon after. Again, horribly.

Reality: dreadful.
Escapism: wonderful.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Harry Hill/Idiot Abroad/Harry Hill.....fiiiiiight.

Two Ronnies and four candles.

Only fools and Horses. When Rodney arrives home sits in his chair and kicks off his shoes and asks Del "whats for tea"?. Del then reminds him that he doesn't live here anymore. Rodney moved out ages ago.

So true to life, reminded my two daughters often enough. :yesnod:

Eddie Izzard, such a funny outlook on life. Also the OFAH scenc with the chandelier has to be one of the best tv moments in recent years...
Oh and Fawlty Towers, they just wouldnt be able to make anything like that these days, so unP.C. :woohoo: :woohoo:

Basil Fawlty ranting at his Austin 1100 then thrashing it with a branch. Classic.

All time fave Roadrunner scene: Coyote does the usual 'paint the tunnel' thing on the hillside. Watches Roadrunner run into it. Looks at the camera with the resigned expression, expecting the usual splat when he attempts to follow. Runs at the painted on tunnel and amazingly enters the tunnel. Comes out again with a look of surprise and pleasure then runs back in in hot pursuit. Then........

Wooooooooooo: comes out splattered across the front of a freight train. :woohoo:

I would love to meet the mind that came up with:
ACME exploding bird seed, rocket powered unicycle, jet propelled roller skates, iron bird seed ( for use with a giant magnet) etc.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..
