Daryl I would be more worried about the safety of them over the dye. Have these passed the EN Safety regulations have they got a load testing certificate? Will they have the label attached to the belt,

Good question Jac114,

There is a label on the belts (I shall grab a pic when I get home), but I shall pass on the question anyway for peace of mind. I will point out that the supplier does custom safety belts on a large scale for both US and UK/Euro markets.

OK, a quick update for those are you interested :)

I've not have a message back from the supplier, but in the meantime I did some work of my own.

The labels on the seatbelts (both) refer to compliance with ADR4 (Australian Design Rule) which relates to the compliance of specifically the belt element of a seatbelt system:
Link to ADR

The ADRs are essentially Oz's version of our EU motoring safety regs, and harmonized into the United nations regs in 1998 ;)
Link to 1998 Agreement

Im guessing that its reference is down to where the belt material is sourced, or their initial markets...

but its not just the belt, obviously the originals are being replace by the new webbing so im guessing that the work involved ie stitching has to also hold up to a certain standard along with all work undertaken on the belts ??

As far as I can see from reading, its all covered by ADR4 (but I will get written confirmation of course)

**EDIT** - Got a response.... I quote "all seat belts produced are manufactured under European standard R16 and under ISO9002 quality control procedures"

All belts are manufactured to european standard R16 :broon:

Im going on a worst-case price of £90 per set + old belts (unless you want to keep them, then Im sure something can be worked out).... Im aiming to get it down to £80 but the haggling is still ongoing lol

Well, here's hoping they turn into orders!

They has been a lot of interest on .org, (plus a deposit already) so Im going ahead with getting an initial batch made - I'll have to go with best guesses for colours (unless people can confirm some more interest) and go from there.

Hey, whats the worst that can heppen? I end up with a pile of rainbow seatbelts ROFL.....

Well, finally managed to fit the belts! (Apologies for TERRIBLE pics - I just managed to beat the sunset - I NEED A GARAGE!!!)

First things first... the greens dont match my bespoke seats, but I was kind of expecting that. Fitting was easy although you do get a few "Why arent they unwinding" moments as you are fitting

May end up trying another colour later on for kicks.

NOTE TO PEOPLE WHO'VE ORDERED - Sorry for the delay, but the reason Ive not taken payment yet was exactly for this reason (so I could get the process sorted!)... Also might be an idea for me to get belts sold before setting up other things hehehe....
