"Gimme the good news son."
"The exhaust dropped off moms' Peugeot."
"So what's the bad news?"
"The car's wrapped around a tree!"
"Have you got somewhere to stay tonight son?"
"Yes, I'm staying at my girlfriends house."
"That's a good idea right now!"
The car's a write off. I put it down to inexperience of driving in the snow, bad parenting and genetics. Kids.. who'd have em!

I'll be able to get around to my own car at some point hopefully. Deep joy.

It's the wife's car John. But with 3 of them on the insurance. Her, my lad (23) and my youngest daughter (24) who's away in uni but uses it when she comes home. He works in construction and they have a works flatbed Mercedes thing for that. So he rarely used the car. I've been using it whilst mine has been poorly. The good news is I get to pick the next banger now. But it has to be a small 1.4 or less engine for their insurance costs to be kept down. :yesnod:

Car insurance and buildings insurance claim. Had to claim We caused the accident.
I told the little current that if I saw him again I'd part him from his breath. This is still working 13 years later.... Worth the damage to get rid of the little bum wad.
Never let any of 'em near any of our vehicles again.

The ambulance officers a bit amazed that the two drivers from a head-on were joking about with each other on the way to hospital.
They hadn't had that before, they were more used to the blame game.
P.S. The car dealer wasn't a happy camper, but I did remind him that he'd said:
"Treat it as your own" :bust:
For some strange reason, I was "Persona Non Grata" after that!

Drove it back from Doncaster / Rotherham area to home, 110 miles. It's surprisingly quick for a 1.2 and it'll do at least a ton (briefly on test). Anyway, she's happy now. Peace has returned. :yesnod:
