Vettel shows true colours. Ross Brawn shows who he luuurves most.
McLaren cock up pit stop: again. Ferrari make epic fail in not bringing Alonso in with busted wing.

Any thoughts?

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Unless Vettel is a German Ninja, I don't think it would be much of a scuffle..... Webber is a big bugger.
With a chip on each shoulder to add weight......

More interesting than last week.

Fuel strategy spoils the racing though and was the main cause of the 1/2 and 3/4.

Shame about the failings around Alonso (can't tell me he had no idea when there was a stream of sparks and reduced handling) and both Button and DeResta having problems with their nuts.

Historically Malaysia has at least one SC and slow running for rain showers which the fuel strategists use statistically. None such happened so some cars ended up light on fuel.

Alonso: apparently the view is so restricted from the cockpit that the chances are that he wouldn't have noticed anything amiss.

That will also be his excuse for hitting the other car in the first place.

You can't tell me that with his experience he couldn't felt was different.

And why didn't they use the radio to each other.

I have been an avid F1 fan for years. Went to the British GP two years ago and did Belgian GP last year. My daughters wedding has put a stop for monza this year. Last weeks race In Melbourne was to say the least pretty boring. Todays race had everything, pit drama, wheel to wheel racing and drivers who want to race, regardless of team orders. Mistake by Vettel? What mistake. RB as a team came first and second today, does it really matter at this stage of the season which driver crossed the line first. Subdued atmosphere in the RB pit after the race. Very strange. They are in such a strong position they are fighting amongst themselves over who crosses the line first. Drop the team orders and let them race. Fantastic F1 today, just how it should be.

The problem is that they had an agreed procedure. That is, whoever ends up in front after the last pitstop stays in front, excepting breakdowns and external influence.
This is standard operating procedure amongst a lot of teams.

Looking at it as a spectator, I want them all racing wheel to wheel to the chequered flag, but I can understand that a Team doesn't want to see its two cars damaging each other, maybe taking each other off when the team want a 1/2 regardless of who finishes 1st. Especially at the start of the season.
They issued orders to both drivers and only one of them heeded the team.
Looking at how close Vettel was to hitting the pit wall in his attempts to get past Webber, I'm not surprised that all the RB pit wall team had heads in hands!

Whatever the outcome, Vettel is a Shining Little Wit.
Rearrange to suit.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

I thought the most memorable part of the race was Lewis pulling into the McLaren pit-Classic! He was lucky the jackman didn't lift the front of his car and leave him there.
That one will be played at the drivers' awards dinner after the season.
It was nice to see that he was man enough to apologise to Nico on the podium as well.
